Makeup/Demeanor -

Shows composed, relaxed demeanor on mound; replicates consistently with limited unbridled emotion; goes about business; calm, relaxed with ability to pitch with edge when necessary. Demonstrates quality work ethic, shows desire for extra work and responsive with fellow teammates; frequently first out for throwing work

Command Projection;

Fluidity throughout arm action; controlled, strong drive; both conducive for command to actualize in bullpen capacity; potentially enough for greater work though present mindset and success may be better suited for bullpen, no reason to disrupt present success; above average command potential within bullpen capacity; limited explosiveness and quick twitch though good stamina and athleticism in limited bursts; fluidity and feel able to function at highest level

Fastball (92-94; Present 5, Future 6):

Shows command projection and potential for pitch; works with consistent quality plane and mild run in lower band; flashes hard late sinking two-seam sort of action; shows quality life and consistent extension; possesses above average arm strength from left side, able to work north-south sparingly; shows favoritism for working armside and south, can struggle to locate in other quadrants at present; moderate cut life elevated at times; easy, fluid arm acceleration and extension increase deception of pitch, hops on bats; bores on lefties; shows command potential through arm action and strength to see pitch further develop within bullpen capacity; velocity and action show major league potential

Slider (82-86; Present 55, Future 6):

Shows advanced feel for pitch; throws for strikes consistently and reliably; commands and plays extremely well with depth and desired shape; flashes hard late vertical depth and tight spinning sweeping action; late above average depth to  shortermore cut slider sort of action; effective on both handed sorts of competition; sequences backwards and forwards; advanced confidence in pitch, very mature feel at present; adds and subtracts well to pitch depth; replicates arm speed and shows ability to replicate extension to pitch; potential to service as out pitch at the highest level, potential for premium left handed secondary offering

Changeup (83-86; Present 4, Future 45):

Moderate fading action achieved consistently to pitch; inconsistent present feel and poor extension at present; varying arm speed replication; arm action conducive for pitch development; arm speed and limited deception limit potential of pitch; shows moderate late sinking action at times, can become firm; predominantly softer late fade with below average present depth; flashes action enough to become serviceable off incumbent first two offerings; shows potential for adequate third pitch within bullpen role.

Player Role:

Floor - Left Handed Situational Reliever (4)

Realistic - 7th Inning Reliever (45)

Ceiling - Second Division Closer (50 Bullpen)

High Risk (Ceiling)

Vasto demonstrates extreme feel and maturity on mound at present level; ought not to still be playing against present competition. Arm action and strength show ability to manifest in consistency and replication within the bullpen with feel enough to provide major league floor. Limited deception and present fastball command alongside limited value within bullpen capacity and older age for present level increase potential risk of profile; lacks extreme present value. Left handed velocity, action to fastball alongside premium spin allow for potential major league contributions and a lower risk realistic projection out of the bullpen.
