Muscular shoulders and chest; dense upper half; higher set waist and length through lower half with lean muscle through legs; more wider set through hips; slight excess weight through midsection, long arms, large hands; large, physically maxed frame with no projection on physical side remaining; build presents high amount of risk as frame approaches physical decline; at risk to retain weight through trunk and hips, high maintenance body. 



Slight rock into motion, adjusts position on rubber slightly prior to kick; moderate leg kick with slight collapse, hands break after drive has started to initiate; fluid medium circle, average arm speed; recoil; fluid, easy arm acceleration and low maintenance delivery; slightly oriented towards first base side of rubber, mild spine tilt, moderate depth through arm path; arm slot shows slight variances from 3/4; extends prior to going downhill with gloveside, elevates slightly after extension, frequently has chest fly open and can struggle to consistently declerate gloveside, occasional arm drag attributed to it; 1.26-1.35 from stretch, eliminates rock and retains kick height from wind up, inconsistent strength through drive, greater collapse and rotation with baserunners on; sluggish checking runners, inconsistent footwork; labors, can become more deliberate deeper into outings; low energy; sluggish, deliberate fielding; limited athleticism and athletic projection off quality strength; flashes quality fastball extension with his quality length; simplistic delivery with limited noise, athleticism and physical projection unlikely to sustain within rotation capacity



Low energy, quiet demeanor; competitive tendencies in game with advanced pitching acumen; shows cerebral tendencies executing late in count; respected by fellow staff and battery mates, does what is required of him pregame and through workouts; nothing exceptionally out of the ordinary 




Fastball T95; quality action and flashes quality extension to pitch; good arm strength, comes out of hand well; flashes three way action with true cut and run in lower band, variances from firm late sinking action to noticeable tail; confident in pitch, utilizes to complete and start sequence, confident in pitch action enough to execute regardless of count, weak contact pitch; limited command projection in rotation off questionable athleticism and physical projection, pitch will play further up in bullpen capacity; arm strength, extension, feel and pitch action with quality foundation for further development and improvement. Slider/Cutter mix in varying bands; distinct cut life and horizontal depth in band just off fastball velocity, shows quality depth and late action at times; slider with quality feel, can utilize as support in 'off night' appearances; advanced ability to add and subtract to pitch depth, shows greater sweeping looks in softer band for strikes and out of zone; two plane depth at times when necessary, flashes solid average with feel enough to easily maximize pitch action and actualize pitch; confident in offering behind in count, utilizes regardless of L/R matchup; outer third righties, buries and places arm side lefties frequently depending on batter and situation; arm drags, inconsistent timing on occasion for pitch. Changeup with limited projection, limited deception through delivery, limited athleticism and projection for pitch actualization; flashes firm late sinking depth and fosh action with other looks at moderate fading depth and life; visibly more deliberate with pitch, lesser utilization and confidence, will mix in predictable counts, ahead or 0-1; flashes average action with lesser arm speed replication and softer fade; pitch with below average projection, serviceable in limited capacity; acumen on mound potential to further develop feel for pitch. 




Long possesses the arm strength, physicality, fastball feel, fastball action, extension, arm action, ease, gloveside movement off cut action, cutter and advanced feel for slider to reach the highest level; limited athleticism, questionable body projection as he approaches older age and bullpen projection place limitation on the profile and value.
