Compact arm path; stiff through load and stab; explosive arm acceleration, above average arm speed; slight head whack; poor drive and stamina, strength and present athleticism not adequate for rotation workload at present. Right of rubber; linear drive, inconsistent foot strike, occasionally inverted at times; will extend gloveside and leak shoulders frequently. Hurried leg kick, stiff from stretch; quick to plate, 1.12-1.17. Drive deteriorated, core strength and arm speed wained through outing; frequently become rotational, extended drive and collapsed at times to open front at foot strike in some instances as well; lacks rotation strength. Four-seam shows fairly true; 89-92 T93 with varying downhill plane, shows modest ability to work pitch north-south; moderate run and late sinking action to pitch; below average command. Slider in 81-84 band, inconsistent arm speed replication and poor feel; poor tilt and rotation; often firm, rolling slurve sort of shape; can round and show 12-6 shape to armside sparingly; shows below average, arm action not conducive for further development or consistency of pitch. Changeup 80-83; shows decent fade and average action to pitch on occasion, poor feel and arm speed replication, firm mild sinking action more frequently achieved to pitch; below average potential; arm action lacks fluidity, pitch at low probability to progress. Relatively quiet demeanor, seemingly well liked and respected by teammates. Despite body that can project slightly even at present age and arm speed, lacks requisite pitching aptitude, stamina and present athleticism and stuff to function in rotation capacity with more realistic organizational future; middle relief ceiling

Dean Deetz (RHP) -

Thick torso, large shoulders; soft through midsection; large butt, thick thighs. Poor arm action; flashes above average arm speed, arm slowed as appearance went on. Slightly lower slot than traditional 3/4, slinging whippy release; violent stiff arm acceleration. Right of rubber, crossfire, inverted foot strike, slight spine tilt; looks away from plate. Slight back half collapse, predominantly upright, firm foot strike. Poor strength and athleticism, become extremely rotational through outing with inconsistent drive and foot strike; lacks rotation future, stiff arm action and soft body limit command projection. Four-seam shows velocity; 94-95 with explosive life, achieves decent extension to pitch, mild late life; able to subtract to pitch sparingly in 92-93 band and show mild run; natural cut action to pitch. Cutter 87-93; poor feel for pitch, shoulders fly open; overthrows to gloveside with loose exaggerated sweeping shape; shows hard life at times reminiscent of firm sweeping slider. Curveball 79-83; tight rotation and crisp 12-6 shape; poor feel with arm drag, pitch shows quality depth and hard spike action; able to get hand and wrist on top of pitch, raises slot slightly; potential swing-and-miss pitch. Slider 82-85; exaggerated shape and often loose, shoulders fly open on pitch. Flashes tight spinning action and quality tilt with late hard dive; rounder pitch with elevated slot. Realistic right handed situational bullpen arm; ceiling of 7th inning bullpen value.

Stab, slight shoulder tilt, slight spine tilt; keeps gloveside closed; foot strike slightly inverted; fringe arm speed, arm drag; arm decelerates cleanly. Remained linear for majority of appearance; poor command projection, lacks rotation future. Two-seam in 90-93 band; shows natural late life and late sinking action, shows greater tail at times; below average command, moderate ability to work north-south. Cutter 82-86; some decent action, larger cut bore on lefties, can loosen and soften on occasion unintentionally; some ability to increase depth and play with grip more traditional slider sweep. Splitter 78-81; poor feel, exaggerated shape, unable to add and subtract or throw for strikes; flashes depth, struggled to control through bottom of zone, predominantly flat below average depth. Realistic organizational bullpen arm; organizational bullpen ceiling
